Marvelous Imaginations Childcare, Inc. serves daily meals and snacks in accordance to the Minnesota Families First Food Program standards. Children will be introduced to healthy, clean foods in a variety of ways. Introducing new foods to a child's pallet is not always an easy feat. However, children will be given new foods with the expectation of at least looking at the new items. If a child is unwilling to try the foods, no punishment shall be implemented. Hungry tummies may be the only consequence. If new foods are introduced, the provider will ensure known foods during snack time to avoid a lack of energy and behaviors that could hinder participation in daily activities.
Children that require special diets will require a physician's note attached to their enrollment packet. Parents will be introduced to educational materials to ensure healthy dietary routines in the home, as well.
I believe that children can ensure a successful future by learning how to eat a healthy diet and use their energy for productive play.
“It's bizarre that the produce manager is more important to my children's health than the pediatrician.”
